An increasing number of Cambridge CC members are taking part in track racing and/or spectating at these exciting events. in 2004 and 2005 mostly this consisted of members riding the track league at Welwyn (Gosling Park Stadium), the occasional visit to the indoor track at Manchester and taking part in the World Masters Championships. In 2006 there is been sufficient interest to organise our own club championships, for most this will form the focus of the track year.

Saturday 28th July 12:00 - 16:00
Your chance to
emulate the all-conquering GB Track Team - the Cambridge CC Track Championships
gives you the opportunity to try your hand at track racing in the company of
your club-mates. Five events: 200m flying start TT, 2 lap TT, pursuit, points
race and a handicapped scratch race to round things off. There's no obligation
to compete in all of them - but the first three will give you time to find your
feet (wheels?) on the track before mixing it in a bunch.
No track bike? No problem - bikes are available to hire at the track. All have Look pedals - I'll bring along some spare plates for anyone who uses another system but wants to use their shoes. There will be half an hour at the start to warm up on the track and get the feel of the bankings!
Come along and give it a try - it's great fun! Booking form attached - complete and send it with your £5 deposit to Rob Cox NOW! (address details on form)
