Cambridge CC covers a wide range of cycling activities from social riding through to serious racing and most things in between. Although many of the club members own and ride mountain bikes most club organized activities are based around on-road riding. Generally the club can be described as for "Sporting and Racing Cyclists".

In 2000 the club started development work with young cyclists under the British Cycling Get Set scheme.
